RESEARCH
UX PROCESS
Overview and Starting point of it
For Meli Room, we followed a UX process based on Design Thinking, starting with research and benchmarking to analyze industry standards and competitors. We then created user personas and empathy maps to understand user needs, frustrations, and behaviors. With these insights, we defined key problems and designed solutions using UX patterns, focusing on usability and efficiency. Through iterative prototyping and testing, we refined the interface, ensuring seamless integration with Google Calendar, Gmail, Workplace, and Slack, all while maintaining Mercado Libre’s branding for a cohesive experience. 🚀
UI DESIGN
MELI ROOM UI PROCESS
UI Phase
For Meli Room, the UI design process focused on creating a visually cohesive and highly functional interface. We started by defining a design system, ensuring consistency across typography, colors, buttons, and components. The color palette, inspired by Mercado Libre’s branding, balanced contrast and accessibility, enhancing readability and interaction clarity. We structured layouts using grids and spacing principles, ensuring a clean and organized visual hierarchy. Interactive elements followed Material Design guidelines, providing intuitive feedback through hover states, animations, and microinteractions. Icons and illustrations were designed to be simple yet effective, improving navigation without overwhelming the user. The final UI was polished through iterative testing and refinement, guaranteeing a seamless, modern, and engaging experience for users booking and managing spaces. 🚀
